Thanks for your patience, your good hope, but poo for your worries, the first cause of my comments. Fer cryin' out loud, I'd like leadership from my pundits one of these days.

You cite Minsky as several do recently warning about 'unguidedness', so we flip to Keyne's wee bit of structure and argue that, enter right an Austrian, backdrop Chicago School, economists are admitting flame as much as fame, it just goes on and on, invisible hand, the notable apology of Greenspan. Toothless gumming.

So much GDP and Laffer curve and Prop13 distract us. We're in greater trouble than all that. Street trouble. Folks at home trouble. Life on earth trouble.

If we lucky enough to find how to say it, as I hope to put in my first comment, we are strong enough to fix it. There's much willingness.

Brian,

Very well said. I would have to agree with all of that. It does seem impossible to get anything done, with all of the petty bickering.

I am particularly unhappy about watching our beloved democracy become more and more bastardized.

It is time for people to stop being so complacent and actually do something. Hopefully, they actually will, unless they get too much bread and too many circuses...

I think we have not been as articulate nor careful about our prospects or our circumstances as we think we are.Nor as we pride ourselves to be, as we need to be, and we must be.

We have let ourselves become both less wary and less demanding. I enjoy your post with the cartoon, 'Attention, if you're the ship's captain'. I'm adding to that by saying we are that captain and we're very capable as history shows us.

In the last part of my first comment I tried to say our strength has been proven here and there along the way. We are a good people with much we can draw for strength. We have a conscience and we've done good with it. We can point to better things and we're willing to pull ahead to do that.

Our best features seem swamped in silly arguing. I want more than that. Something that calls us to want this place to work so well we're happy to work like hell to do that.

Brian,

While I appreciate your comment, I can't say that I fully understand your points.

The first part makes sense, that we have been elevating the powerful as long as there have been humans. I would have to agree with that.

I don't understand the last part...I simply can't make out your jargon.

I hope you will respond with an explanation.

Thanks,

Gawd! It's so-o-o complex, not. We are living and dying on these issues. I can't put it more simply.

Of course we are putting corporations first. We're used to it since kings. Of course we ignore the little guy and have always. Do we forget the issues we've died for? Let's heap on some progress here and be damn excited we can do that.

What's not occurred in my sixty years, blip I am, as we all, is that our breathing seems less grand but our death is the same ol' ugly. But notice: We are always always always willing to pull.

We cannot want Earth as an argument. We cannot believe that. Not on our one tiny rock.

I'm for getting on with it. Of course we'll green this place, sustain, and we'll stop a few new pirates too. Just ask those kings what we can do. Woot.
